A Clear Day; sunshine

Things have stepped up quite considerably in my business over the last month, which is really exciting! I blame my business coach Ruth Ferreira – when you get a business coach they make you set actions, and once something is on a list I can’t not do it!

So I have taken on an assistant – the fantastic Jo who is now an Associate VA for my business. Jo will be focusing on admin tasks, and I am also looking for an Associate VA to take on some of the social media work. It is a wonderful position to be in, to have enough work to be able to help other working mums like me to expand their skillset and reach their goals.

I have big plans for 2020 but before I go into those I would like to tell you a little bit about how I came to be where I am. The last 3 years have been incredible for me – my life has changed utterly and I have been through the highest highs and the lowest lows. I had a 14 month relationship that took me from the life path I was on and put me firmly back onto the life path that was meant for me. I rediscovered who I am, remembered my passions and rebuilt my self worth. The end of that relationship threw me onto the path of grief, but also enormous personal growth. I left my marriage, I realigned my friendships, I met new people but most importantly I met myself.

And then I started this business. And in one year I have so much enjoyed bringing calm and focus to my clients’ businesses that I am now planning to expand what I can offer, with the help of new team members.

So what’s in store for next year? Well the first thing is a rebrand. My brand was put together in haste and it in no way reflects who I am or what I want this business to be. I have done a lot of work on my brand, with the help of some excellent friends and professionals, and am aiming to relaunch in the New Year.

My focus is on bringing these elements to small business owners:

  • Calm
  • Clarity
  • Confidence
  • Focus
  • Progress

It gives me huge satisfaction to do this via freelance admin, social media and business development support, and next year I am looking to add coaching to my skillset. Bringing calm and clarity to offices is so beneficial, but I would like to be able to bring the same elements to the people themselves. Progress only comes when we are calm, have clarity, feel confident in what we are doing and can focus on what is important.

That is a lesson I have learned for myself over the past 3 years, and now that calm has finally come to me again I have clarity on my goals, my purpose and what really matters in my life. I have undertaken such a journey of personal and emotional growth, and feel more confident than I ever have before. I turn 40 next year, and it feels like exactly the right time for me to have my aims in focus and for me to be making progress on my own terms.

I hope that I can bring the same things to you and your business, whether that is through office based or virtual support, through coaching or through a mix of those areas, tailored to suit where you are in work and life.

I am stepping off the rollercoaster, briefly, until the New Year, whilst I get my team in place and finalise my rebrand, so I will not be taking on any new clients until January 2020. My video course is still available, to help you to overcome the overwhelm, and I also have a shorter course to help those who organise Christmas to feel calmer about the festive season. Please take a look at my website for more information.

Please watch this space for what 2020 has in store. I hope you keep the overwhelm at bay, and find calm and clarity this winter.

Helen.
