Welcome to episode 17. Today we’re talking about the metaphorical tools we all need on hand to lead a balanced and happy life. This episode is not about good habits, strict routines or consistency. From my experience, forcing these things upon yourself often leads to de-motivation and self-criticism – neither of which are helpful. Instead, I like to focus on having a variety of ‘tools’ in your toolkit, may that be exercise, meditation, or something as simple as a walk in the sun at your disposal. Above all, my message in this episode is about knowing you are worth the time and effort it takes to use these tools whenever you need them to help you feel good, feel motivated and be more productive.

In this episode:

  • How consistency and creating habits is often too challenging for most people and can do more harm than good.
  • Why lowering your expectations of what your body and mind needs to function day to day can be the key to a more satisfied life.
  • How knowing when to use the right tools at the right time is so important – especially as we get older.
